We are committed to providing our students with excellent educational experiences that will prepare them to enter the workforce, further their education, and/or engage in community service upon graduation.

We have a dynamic, intellectual faculty and student body working toward improving the quality of individual and family life for all New Mexicans.

Featured Items:

• Kelley Coffeen, associate professor in the Fashion Merchandising and Design program, now oversees the café with a team from Family and Consumer Sciences. Coffeen’s plans include ramping up the café’s retail offerings over the upcoming months. Her goal is to turn the café into a one-stop shop for coffee, pastries and gifts. (2024, April 17)

• New Mexico State University’s Family and Consumer Science Department, in partnership with the TRIO Upward Bound program, held a weeklong camp for Hatch Valley High School students this summer. (2024, July 17)

• FCS Cooperative Extension Service diabetes awareness program, On the Road to Living Well with Diabetes, has received a new grant from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation to continue its work to lower diabetes rates. (2024, August 6)

• Students with New Mexico State University’s Aggie Fashion Club are ready to book it to the runway and show off their unique fashion skills once again at their annual Sustainable Fashion Show. (2024, April 15)
